Maria Tate - Understudy
She has studied at the School for Mime Theatre in Gambier, OH, with Janice Garrett and Dancers in San Francisco CA, and at the American Acacemy of Dramatic Arts NY,NY. She has performed Off Broadway in 21 Stories: A Broadway Tale, and last year as a guest dancer in Kacico Dance's fall concert in Michelle Diane Brown's Women. This is Maria's first apprentice season with Kacico Dance.

Originally from Leavenworth, KS, Maria recently returned to the Midwest after studying and performing dance in Dublin, Ireland. Since returning to Kansas City Maria has joined Reach, a Movement Collective as a dancer and choreographer. Maria received her BFA in Dance from Wichita State University and performed with the Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre and the Alithea Mime Theatre. Her work The Other Side was chosen to be performed at the American College Dance Festival, and she choreographed many theatre works for the university and theatre communities in Wichita.
