A contemporary dance treat as light and shadow become partners with movement and sound.  Flashlights in the audience, sounds in the dark, and dancers revealed and concealed are just the beginning of the theatrical innovations of choreographers Michelle Brown, Lindsay Tate, Shandi Miller along with Rebecca Bryant and Don Nichols.  Kacico Dance, a company of 9 spectacular dancers, always promises amazingly refreshing creativity.  Don’t miss it. TIckets: $35 per person.  Includes hors d'oeuvres, two drinks, and $500 in Fantasy Money" to try your luck in Kacico's Casino.  Games include Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and Poker, dealt by professional dealers.  Spend your winnings at our silent auction table featuring a variety of items donated by local businesses.  Come alone, bring a friend, or bring the whole gang!  We would like to give a special call out to Red Hatters and other social groups!  Contact us for group rates.

Announcements

Kacico Dance is searching for male dancers/movers to work with the company on a per project basis or as a part time/full time company member.  We have  four upcoming paying performances/projects that have roles for males.  Previous moving experience is necessary but extensive dance training is not.  We will train on the job.  Please contact 816-578-4721 or artdir@kacicodance.org to inquire.

Kacico Dance has been awarded a $3000 grant from the ArtsKC Catalyst Fund for the 2009 season.  We appreciate their support. 

Kacico Dance has been selected to be on the Missouri Arts Council Touring Roster for the upcoming year. Missouri organizations and presenters may apply for matching funds to present Kacico Dance in their community.  Contact the Missouri Arts Council for more information. missouriartscouncil.org
