Lindsay Spilker Tate - Dancer

Lindsay Spilker Tate holds a B.S. Ed. In Dance Education (2003) from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, she trained with the CORE Concert Dance Company under the direction of Bala Sarasvati. She then spent two seasons in Tucson, AZ performing and choreographing as a member of O-T-O Dance, a modern/aerial company under the direction of Anne Bunker. She moved to the Kansas City area in 2005 and is currently in her sixth season with Kacico Dance. With Kacico she has had the opportunity to choreograph, perform, and teach throughout the Kansas City area, as well as in KS, MO, TX, and GA. She has taught various forms of dance in Georgia, Arizona, and the Kansas City area, and has had the opportunity to work with current and former members of Limon Dance Co, Nikolais Dance Theatre, Pilobolus Dance Theater, and Cirque du Soleil. She served as Program Director for the Kacico School of Contemporary Dance (2008-2009), Administrative Assistant for Kacico Dance (2008-2009), and is currently serving as co-artistic director of Kacico Dance.  She has also independently presented work at the Lawrence Arts Center Informal Choreographers’ Showcase, Lawrence, KS (2006-2008).
