Leigh Murray - Dancer
Leigh Murray, an Atlanta Georgia native, recently received her BFA in Dance Choreography from Arizona State University. While in Arizona, she studied with Ballet Arizona and Dance Arizona Repertory Theatre and danced under the direction of Nina Watt, Mark Taylor, and the Daniel Nagrin staff. Before moving to Arizona, Leigh danced with companies including Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Jazz Theatre, and Rotaru International Ballet, and studied at the University of the Arts Summer World of Dance. Since moving to Kansas City in August 2009, Leigh is teaching at many studios in the Kansas City area and pursuing choreography projects involving both her movement choreography and her visual art. This is her first season as a Kacico dancer, and she is very excited about the artistic prospects of the upcoming year.
